Safety First, Prevention Foremost | Hefei Jingwei Electronics Conducts Dormitory Fire Safety Drill
2024-04-12
Dormitories are densely populated places. In case of emergencies, quick and orderly evacuation is crucial to ensure the safety of employees living there. To prevent sudden emergencies, enhance the fire safety awareness of employees living in the dormitories, and improve their emergency evacuation skills, Hefei Jingwei Electronics conducted a dormitory fire escape drill on April 12.
Dormitory Fire Safety Drill
Before the drill, the Safety and Environmental Protection and Administrative departments jointly developed a detailed evacuation drill plan, making detailed arrangements for the escape routes on each floor, the responsibilities of dormitory managers, and the personnel in charge at each stairwell.
Evacuation Work Arrangement

Drill Site
At 9:00 AM, security personnel simulated a patrol of the dormitory and discovered a fire on the 6th floor caused by an electrical short circuit. They immediately reported to the dormitory supervisor and pressed the emergency alarm.
The urgent alarm sounded immediately. Safety officers, dormitory managers, on-duty security, and other logistics personnel quickly took their posts and organized the dormitory employees to evacuate in an orderly manner to prevent pushing, trampling, and other accidents.

Dormitory Fire Safety Education
Under the command of safety officers, dormitory managers, on-duty security, and other logistics personnel, employees on each floor evacuated safely and quickly to the safe area below the dormitory building. Then, staff on each floor immediately counted the number of people to ensure no one was left behind.
After everyone gathered, Section Chief Liu Yang from the Administration department educated employees on dormitory electricity use, fire prevention, accommodation safety, and telecom fraud prevention. Manager Zhu Changsheng from the Safety and Environmental Protection department demonstrated the use of dry powder fire extinguishers and dormitory fire hydrants.

Finally, Manager Zhu from Safety and Environmental Protection summarized the dormitory fire drill. Manager Zhu emphasized the importance of electrical and fire safety in daily dormitory life and hoped everyone would take every drill seriously. Since dormitories are densely populated places, we must continuously improve our safety awareness, enhance escape and avoidance skills, and strengthen self-protection abilities.
