2025 Commitment Letter for No Use of Conflict Minerals
2025-10-20
To fulfill our corporate social responsibility, our company hereby commits:
1. Our company commits that all delivered products and their packaging contain no metals sourced from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and its neighboring countries, nor from any conflict-affected mining areas controlled by armed groups within these nations. The DRC and its surrounding countries include: (a) the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Sudan, the Republic of South Sudan, the Republic of Uganda, the Republic of Rwanda, the Republic of Burundi, the United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Zambia, the Republic of Angola, and the Central African Republic; and (b) any new countries (or regions) that may emerge in the future, encompassing part or all of the aforementioned territories, as well as existing countries (or regions).
"Conflict minerals" include, but are not limited to, tin, tungsten, coltan, and gold—and their derivatives—originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and neighboring countries, as well as any areas within these nations controlled by armed groups. This specifically refers to the raw materials of metals such as gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), and tungsten (W). "The use or inclusion of these metals must ensure that they do not come from the DRC and its surrounding regions, nor from any areas within these countries controlled by armed forces." This means that the mining, smelting, shaping, and other manufacturing processes involving these metals must take place exclusively outside the DRC and its neighboring countries, as well as any territories within these nations under the control of armed groups.
2. Our company will strengthen supply chain management and establish relevant management systems and regulations to effectively identify and trace the origins of raw materials, ensuring their legal sourcing and preventing the use of conflict minerals. We agree to allow customers to audit the origins of the metal raw materials supplied by our company.
3. Our company shall take proactive measures to prevent any economic or reputational losses, among others, that may be incurred by customers due to a breach of this commitment. Should this commitment letter be violated, customers shall have the right to claim compensation from our company for all resulting damages (including but not limited to damages, costs, expenses, attorneys’ fees, litigation costs, and any actual losses incurred).
4. Our company agrees that the governing law for the establishment, effectiveness, performance, and interpretation of this Commitment Letter shall be the laws of the country or region where we are located. Any disputes arising from this Commitment Letter that remain unresolved after friendly negotiations will be submitted to the courts in the jurisdiction where our company is based.
5. The signatory hereby commits to having the authority or already being fully authorized to sign this commitment letter on behalf of the company.
